My favorite ladies visit NYC

Sorry I have been MIA guys! The past few weeks have been full of fun! Two weeks ago my Mom and sister, Sera, came to visit NYC! Having my favorite ladies in NYC with me was so special! My amazing mama grew up in Brooklyn, so she’s a city girl at heart. She always loves coming back to NYC and has such fun, fabulous stories to share with us about growing up out here! We had the most wonderful time with them while they were in town. It was jam-packed with friends, family, sight-seeing and tons of great food and drink having! We saw tons of fabulous sights (Columbia’s campus, Brooklyn Bridge, Chelsea Market, The HighLine, UWS, etc). But, one of the highlights of the trip was that Sera had arranged for us to go on this awesome walking food tour in the West Village. The company we went through is called “Foods of New York Tours” (check them out here). Our tour guide, Ted, was so great and we all had such a wonderful time! You get to walk through The Village while eating delicious food at historic “Mom and Pop” places. Yes please! I highly recommend this for anyone who loves food and loves hearing some fun history. Take a look at the delicious places they take you to:
This babe is my best friend! I’ve always been super thankful to get to call my sister my best friend! She has a fabulous blog that you should check out called Dress Chic For Me! This pic was taken after drinks at The Spotted Pig and before dinner at Bobo (both places that I recommend).
Cannolis, wine and gelato! Oh my! (A brief showing of the deliciousness that we got to taste on the food tour)
Took my mama to breakfast at my favorite coffee place in the city, Irving Farm Coffee Roasters. Nothing better than girl time complete with lattes, laughs and fresh berries!
This girl was making me laugh when we were trying to take some pics together
We took my Mom and Ser to our very favorite pizza place, Paulie Gee’s in Brooklyn. I’ve mentioned this delicious pizzeria before but honestly, if you haven’t been, please do yourself a favor and check it out! We went with great friends and had such a fantastic night of great pizza, beer and laughs! And, such a small world! Turns out that my mom and Paulie went to the same elementary, junior high, and high school in Brooklyn growing up! How crazy is that?
Overall, Jason and I just had the most wonderful time with family in town! Getting to spend a week with Ser and my Mom in NYC was just so incredibly fun and memorable! I loved every minute of it! We can’t wait for them to come back and visit again! Having family in NYC with us makes us so very happy! Cheers!
